This is the standard way to learn to fly in the WRC club. When you first join a club instructor will take you up on a club owned trainer airplane. They use the buddy box system. The buddy box system let's you fly the plane until you loose control then the instructor can save the plane from crashing. After a while you may decide to buy your own trainer airplane. You can have an instructor take you up on your own plane on the buddy box. When you are comfortable flying solo you can solo for an instructor and then can go up on your own.
