Monthly Meeting Report

1. The meeting was opened by the President at 10:10 Am.
2. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited by all.
3. The Treasurer stated that the opening balance of the checking account at
the beginning of the month was $2,990.52. After receipts and expenses for
the month the closing balance was $3,655.38.
4. The Secretary reported that the total membership is now fifty paid
members and one lifetime membership.
5. It was discussed that the addition of the new track has added new
members and has almost paid for itself.
6. The Secretary note that he will put in paperwork to the AMA for a grant to
receive 25% of the cost of the new track. Possible receiving additional
money for additional improvements needed to the track.
7. On that being said the Grounds Manager noted that he is getting prices and
vehicles to move a mixture of sand and clay to cover the track surface. The
natural loam now covering the track is very dusty. He will need volunteers
at the time to spread the clay mixture on to the track.
8. It was noted that Bruce Fletcher has donated a water tank. Aaron Brissette
donated a pump. Scott Reynold donated a power supply. These donated
items will help with the dust problem and once the clay mixture is in place
it will help maintain the clay mixture in place.
9. The Secretary noted that he would contact the Secretary of the Fairgrounds
Association to make sure that the lease is sent to the correct contact this
year. Last year the Fairground Association was waiting for payment of the
lease that nobody had received. It is expected that the lease will be for the
$1,300.00 that was approved when they approved our track addition earlier
this summer.
10. With no further items to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
11. We moved on to flying displays, track races, meeting and talking to old and
new friends, and, of course, the delicious hamburgers and hotdogs.
12. In all it was a spectacular fall day, and 28 persons attended.
13. We all want to thank Bruce Buckingham for all of his setting up, cooking
and breaking down of the barbeque.
