Winnipesaukee Radio Controller
Monthly Meeting Minutes
December 1, 2024

1. Kevin Foley, President opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to
the Flag.
2. Tom Goss, Treasurer reported that there is $4,183.78 in the checking
account. The lease payment is coming due to the Fairgrounds Association
this month.
3. Roy Piere, Secretary reported that there are a total of 53 members as of this
date and that 15 members have already paid their 2025 dues so far.
4. Kevin Foley, President mentioned that in the spring we only had
approximately 30 members and we worried about meeting expenses. The
programs that were implemented during the summer, including adding the
racetrack, has worked to add more members to the club.
5. We were so glad to see Fred Foster, Grounds Manager in attendance after
his heart surgery. He was asked if he thought that he would be strong
enough to maintain the grounds by spring. He said that he felt that if he
had help from members of the club that he thought that he would be able to
drive the tractor. He would need help moving tables and grass trimming.
6. Fred brought up that Grubs were a problem in the field this past summer
and that problem should be addressed in the early spring by broadcasting
GrubEx over the areas that are problems.
7. One other concern of Fred’s is the low safety fences out by the runway.
This spring they should be replaced with a fence that is easy to remove
while mowing being done. Possibly with PVC pipes and plastic fencing.
8. Next, it was brought up, the problem of flying members arriving during
specified flying times and finding racetrack people racing at the track. It
was discussed and agreed on, that track people must stand down and stop
racing if anyone arrives and wants to fly. This is a safety and insurance
problem and can not be overlooked. (Flying time is between 7am to
12noon. Racing time is between 12noon and 6pm. Flying time starts again
at 6pm until dark) On windy days when there is no chance that anyone
would be flying, racers could race during flying times.
9. Tony Rossie is going to look into a vacant building near him as a possible
place to fly and race indoors during the winter months.
10. Emails will be going out to people who have not yet paid their 2025 dues at
the end of December. Checks maybe sent to Tom Goss or you may pay
through PayPal on our website www.wrcnh.com.
