Winnipesaukee Radio Controllers
Monthly Meeting Minutes
February 2, 2025
1. Kevin Foley, President opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to
the Flag at 10:00 AM.
2. Tom Goss, Treasure reported there is $3,894.70 in the checking account. He
also reported that the annual rent of $1,300.00 has previously been paid to
the Fairgrounds Association.
3. Roy Pierce, Secretary reported that there is an additional $210.36 in the
PayPal account that Tom does not know about and that he would be
sending a check to Tom this next week.
4. Roy also reported that there are now 32 paid members for the 2025 year
and that there are 21 on the club roll from last year who have not paid so
far. Also, he reported that there are 2 Interested Parties and one lifetime
member.
5. It was noted that there are 19 members in attendance at the meeting.
6. Christian Davidson is going to take over the Facebook page. He is looking
for photos and videos from the field of both flying and racing. This should
help greatly with promoting the club and attracting new members. (If you
have any photos or videos that you feel would help him out, email them to
christiandavidson085@gmail.com)
7. There was discussion among the members again about the times members
can race and flyers can fly. It was decided that the rules should be looked
over again and discussed further at the next meeting. (I have attached
copies of the rules)
8. The discussion moved on to what the project should be for this summer.
Finishing the track is the number one priority. Which includes adding clay
to the track and plywood barriers at the curves. After that and as money
allows, adding a computerized lap counter would be a nice addition. It
would then allow for competition meets to be held and other clubs to be
invited.
9. The other thing that was brought up was that only 2S cars are allowed on
our track. 3S cars are too fast for the size of our track.
10. One last thought is that, in the future we could possibly add a crawler track
beyond the existing track in the wooded area. No trees would have to be
cut so the Fairgrounds Association might be able to be talked into it.
11. The meeting was adjourned at 11:48 Am.
